The largest stumbling block to becoming a CISSP is passing the exam (and paying for it), but there are still more procedures — and fees — to go through. To begin, you must accept the (ISC)2 code of ethics. Then there's the issue of the above-mentioned work experience criteria; once you've passed your test, you'll need to show that you've completed this criterion by obtaining endorsements from coworkers. You can take the CISSP exam before you have enough job experience to be certified; if you pass, you have six years to complete the required job experience.

You must pay a $125 annual maintenance fee to keep your CISSP certification current, which is due on the anniversary of your certification date. (If you hold multiple (ISC)2 certifications, you just have to pay the cost once each year.) If you pass the exam but don't have enough job experience, you'll be designated a "Associate of (ISC)2," and you'll only have to pay $50 a year until you do.

CISSP Study Guide

Many exam takers may require a guide to help them organise their study time. Although (ISC)2 provides an official study guide to assist you, it is far from your only option. The CISSP All-in-One Exam Guide is well-liked, and there is a series of practise examinations to go along with it. You can work your way through SSI Logic's book, which contains 1,000 practise questions and complete solutions. CISSP dumps are also out there to help you pass the exam in just first attempt. 

Of course, the majority of these study guides and courses aren't free, and that's only the beginning of your expenses. The cissp exam itself must be paid for; registration costs $699 in the United States and the same or a close equivalent in local currency overseas.
